A Phillip Johnson sustainable garden at sunset — native planting, billabong and architecture

About Us

With a strong philosophy of sustainable landscape design, we create socially engaging and productive urban spaces that are habitats to many.

Hi, I’m Phil Johnson

I’m committed to greening our cities and addressing water management through innovative and flexible sustainable landscape design. My design philosophy centres on recreating habitat and accommodating changing environmental extremes. Nature has enthralled and inspired me since I was a child, and I hope my work re-engages people with the power and joy that nature brings.

Our mandate is to create functional and sustainable landscapes that will last for generations to come and celebrate Australia’s enviable natural beauty in ways that are culturally relevant within urban contexts.

In 2010, we were recognised as pioneers of sustainability in the residential sector and nominated as a finalist in the Premier's Sustainability Awards in Victoria.

Recreating habitats

Working alongside some of Australia's leading developers, architects, and government departments, Phillip Johnson Landscapes has been recreating habitats for many years.
